Hello, just bought a 2002 GTP with On star, is there anyway to integrate my cell phone with On star where I can use the speakers in the car. Don't know why I am thinking it is Bluetooth capable. Hate to pay for the service.

I don't believe that the OnStar works anymore for that year car. I don't know which years work but I have an 02' and I asked the same question when I joined and found out then. I'm sure someone else will be able to tell the exact years that work and those that don't.Originally Posted by smitz327

01-03 Grand Prix's came with OnStar.
As of May 2008, OnStar doesnt work anymore due to outdated technology.
Only 03 Grand Prix's MAY have the capability to upgrade to fully-digital cellular communications.
The 01-02 GP's are stuck with Analog Cellular Capability only.
So, my point, no it wont work with what your trying to do.

The onstar in your car works off of an analog signal. Honestly i dont think analog even exists anymore, its all digital signals now. No it is not bluetooth capable. your onstar will not work at all any longer.

You can buy an OnStar FMV for about $100. It replaces the rear view mirror and has bluetooth with a built in speaker. Subscribing for the actual service is optional.
