Goals are to get below 13 seconds and achieve 300whp with this setup. Comments and advice would be greatly appreciated for this build.

    Appearence:
Autometer ES Vacuum/Boost, Oil temp, & Oil Pressure in A-Pillar
Autometer DPIC in factory gauge cluster
Autometer Phantom II Volt and Trans Temp guages near shifter
    AEM wideband (location TBD)

    Performance:
    180 degree thermostat
    Colder spark plugs
3.4 Modular Pulley system from ZZP
    Retuned PCM by ZZP
    Cold air intake system
    Header/downpipe catted
    Stage 1 throttle body ZZP
VS Cam with #90 springs and retainers
    Poly Engine mount
Alternator and water pump underdrive pullies

    Rebuild:
    Replace LIM gasket
    Replace 4th gear clutch
    Transmission and coolant flush
    Replace spark plug wires

Think this is a good setup for sub 13 and 300whp? I'll post pics and the build comes along.

Get a street tune and not that mail order tune crap. TB spacers is useless. Make your own intake. Other then that your good.

Edit: to many gauges in my opinion. Go with a wideband, aeroforce scan gauge (you need something to scan at all time) and a oil pressure gauge. The aeroforce will watch a bunch of things for you no need for spears gauges.

I have nitrous on my G8. I wanted to go a different route for this build. I've never cammed a car before and I want to for this build. Not sure what a Gen V swap is. And I might make a trip to zzp for the tune and install. Haven't decided yet. And for redcompG here is a photo of my opinions of gauges.

I do not like aeroforce gauges. Plus I like having standalone gauges instead.

    Cams aren't a big deal.

Assuming your GP is 97-03, a Gen V swap would use the more efficient Gen V supercharger from an 04-08

Go with an angrier cam, or run 1.7 rockers too.

A custom tune is a must. That will make or break your build.

Dont spend the money on a ported TB, do that yourself, or have someone on the forums do that for much cheaper.

Only need for a TB spacer is to tap it to spray.

Lastly, and most important. DO NOT BUY AN INTAKE SYSTEM. Buy a big ass cone filter, and make your own.

What year is the car? A GenV is the newer Superchargers that come on the 04-08 Grand Prix. It retains less heat and is more efficient a common swap. For example if I was to run a 3.6 pulley it'll be just like running a 3.4 on a gen III (name of the prior generations SC)

I prefer to stick with the basics when it comes to gauges since the Aeroforce can be cycled. Only the major things like of course a WB and oil pressure I keep separate.

I don't have the machines to port a throttle body. I'd rather pay the extra to have it done right the first time. I suppose I might pass on the TB spacer. And why so adamant against an intake?

Because it's 200-300 for an intake.

You can spend $65 and get yourself the exact same filter, intake tubing and have the same results.

A expensive intake on these cars are rather pointless you'll see about the same gains from throwing a intake at the end of the TB or get fancy and use some PVC tubing with a slight bend.

On other platforms a nice intake can make a huge difference. On our grocery getter not so much

And the newer superchargers just bolt right up? No fabricating? And couldn't I drop pullies to a 3.25 or should I just stick with a 3.4? (assuming no sc swap)

well a 3.4 on a gen v is the same as a 3.25 on a gen 3. and you need to mod the lim and a plate adapter for the throttle body

Eh I've had bad experiences trying to cheap out on an intake. On my cobalt I had a spectre one pieced together and it threw lean codes all the time.

3.4 on a Gen V setup. 3.25 on a Gen III with those mods listed and a good tune. Best bet it to get a 3.4, tune for that, then drop pullies later on down the road.

Search for the Gen V swap threads. You'll either need to machine your Gen III lower intake, or get a Gen V intake (usually sold with the blower)
