If so, at what speed? And can the governor be de-programmed?
|
i wanna say its like 126
my gtp sat at 110 forever tho and i let off thinking it was the speed limiter but i dont do top end runs to save my 4th gear
Supposedly my wife's aunt's 2002 GTP governor was turned off/de-programmed, or whatever, and went 160. I wasn't riding. But that's what she said. I called BS on that.
Governed at 125 i wanna say.
I just don't understand why people would want to drive that fast. Seems stupid to me.
Top speed means nothing.
Its all about acceleration i think.
Yes all gtp's are governed comp g are higher and yes you can reprogram it for 200+
Nope you got that backwards although you would probably hardly notice a difference top end. You accelerate quicker but sacrifice top end by going with a 3.29.
You theoretically will run faster track times with 3.29 gears... .1 faster ET and 1mph slower for the gear change to 3.29
I know for a fact my car has done 131MPH with the mods it has, might go another 6MPH if I had a long enough road to test it on, accerlation is what wins races though.
So you would say that they both top off at the same mph?
Actually a better questions whats the difference between a comp g and standard trans other then the gearing and tapshift? I believe nothing but correct me if I'm wrong.
