I have an 04' GP, It came with only one key and one fob. I found a pk3 key on amazon with good reviews but I'm not sure how I would program it without goin to the the evil dealer people. Also I would like to find an 04' fob too for a good price and instructions on how to program that as well. Some places I've looked says you have to mess with fuses and others say it's as easy as putting a key in and doing a few repetitive instructions

    Dealership.

You need to use a Tech 2 scanner.

A pk3 key can be learned this way.

Have it cut to your key. Insert your good key. Turn to ignition and then off. Immediately insert the new key to ignition and then off.

Doesn't have to be a dealership. I know you can do it with a Snap On Solus. Probably any other high end scan tool.

What about this remote (same as 04 GP) it claims to have "do-it-yourself" instructions

Is it legit do you think?

Same situation with my 06 GP. 1 key and 1 remote when I bought it. Every site I researched said I couldn't program it myself. None of the info I got from these guys here worked either. Bought a keyfob off Craigslist and took it to the locksmith. $35 later, I'm a locking/unlocking, trunk poppin', remote starting MOFO. Not sure how much the dealership wants but call around to all the locksmiths in your area. I got prices from 35 to 90 bucks. Have all keys and remotes ready to go and only pay once. Good luck.

Our shop has several scanners.. Including a Tech2. We charge $40 for Keyfob programming or radio unlocks. That should give you a genera idea on cost
