    I have a Grand Prix 1998 gt.
i have a remote that has the horn button but its not design to work.

There must be some kind of fuse or solution that can make it horn or flash when i press this button.

If u know something about programming you r free to post.

If you enter programming mode and it doesn't chime 4 times, then you don't have the ability to make it honk or flash lights at all.

Recently had a similar want for my 98 GT, I will edit in a link for you in a sec.

Edit: okay no luck on the link, here is the steps!
    1. Remove the key from the ignition.
    2. Close all doors.
    3. Remove the "MALL PGM" fuse from the fuse panel. Use the legend on the fuse panel or
owner's manual to properly locate the "MALL PGM" fuse.

    4. Insert the key into the ignition, and turn to the ACC position.
    5. Turn the key to OFF and then back to ACC within 1 second.
    6. Open and close any vehicle door. A chime will be heard when the system enters into
    programming mode.

    7. Press and hold the remote LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for 14 seconds.
IMPORTANT: After 7 seconds, a chime may be heard confirming successful
synchronization. It is necessary to wait approximately 14 seconds for a second chime
    that will confirm successful programming.

    8. Repeat step 7 now for each additional remotes to be programmed including any existing
    remotes.

    9. Remove key from ignition.
    10. Install the "MALL PGM" fuse back into the fuse panel and test remote(s).

If you have 3 chimes once in program mode, look at your owners manual. I believe its like page 70 something

I wish I could help more but I'm running on fumes as far as sleep goes...

Tnx a lot. The steps u posted are the steps for programming a key fob to the car.
My key fob works already though. It locks/unlock and trunk.
But when I look for my car and want it to horn when I press the horn nothing happenes.

Now my question come about how to add this feature. Tnx again.

The horn button on the FOB is not to just make it honk. The horn button is to make the panic alarm go off. To just make it honk you need to hit the lock button twice.

It has to be an option in the BCM not all cars had that option.

I understand what your question is, but in order to know what features you have you need to enter programming mode

Read your manual. It tells you how to turn on and off features such as horn honk and light flush on lock. But as others said you may not even have the option. Read your manual, it'll tell you how to do everything
