99% of the time I see issues like that it's a heat issue effecting the solenoid .. You have headers? It's easy enough to check for voltage at starter with someone else turning the key, once that's confirmed just replace the starter cause there's not much else it could be. Aside from battery cables but they wouldn't just start working again after it cooled down, they would be more sporadic in nature.
