Been about 2 weeks since I flushed my cooling system, all is still well there. However, my lower rad hose sprung a minor leak(go figure) I've read alot of members here cutting off the old spring clamps and installing screw on clamps. What's the best way to cut the clamps off? I don't care about the hose, it's getting replaced anyway.

grab the 2 sides of the factory clamps with pliers and squeeze, then work it off.

I typically pull off the lower splash shield and get it from below. Honestly though..I'd suggest against the pliers. If you want pain and suffering, pull out the pliers. If you want to be the envy of all your friends. Go to Sears (on sale today BTW) and get the hose clamp tool for our spring clamps. It's a red handled dream. You'll never again dislike the spring clamps on any car.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
