the front wires run across the lca's, they tent to get damaged. the plugs, if you un plug them the abs/tc lights will come one, when things are fixed, the abs/tc lights will go off, and the tc button will work like it should.

and if you wanted to scan for a code, you need a abs scanner. most shops will charge for a scan, but it can help lead you in the right direction as to your problem.

you can also jack up one wheel at a time, leave the lugs tight, and see if you feel any play in the tire/rim, buy grabbing the top of the tire, and pushing and pulling, just firmly. should you find one thats got play , its more then likely the problem, and needs to be changed.

    Bulb burnt out?

Start the car and push the button once, dont hit it again, try to break them loose, if the low trac light stays off the bulb is the problem.

    do i have this right?

the trac off light is on all the time? and you can just spin the wheels at will? so you have no traction control working at this time?

and hitting the trac off button does nothing?

when my abs/tc lights were on, the abs would flash low trac when skidding. nothing when they spun via the gas pedal.

sounds like its working just right.

in the regal, its the same way, you hit the button, and the TC light comes on, now the TC is off.

If its not causing any problems then don't worry about it, mine was always flashing "low washer fluid" and "low trac" lol never put washer fluid in, but I ripped mine outta my dash and replaced it with a thin aftermarket CD player and blocked off the original hole in the dash for the original CD player. Don't really need them dummy lights, and yanking it out don't throw codes. And
