I bought a 2004 Comp G over the Summer, and while I do like the new body style, etc I am having headroom issues with the front driver's seat. The only way I can drive the car without hitting my head on the headliner is to recline the seat way back, which drives me crazy and kills my back! I have the power seat adjusted all the way down and am still having issues. Is there anything that can be done as far as a modification to the seat track or anything to get the seat lower? Did they correct this in 2005 or newer models? I can't imagine I am the only one having this problem.

On a side note, I had a 2000 GTP and never had any headroom issues.

Any help would be great, thanks!

how tall are you? lol im 6'6" and fit in my regal fine. but my seat does look like a layboy recliner. and i do tend to look out the back door window at times lol.

it could be one of the wires is broken for the power seat, not letting it go as low as you would like it to. or a dirty plug connection under the seat.

I am only about 5'10" so I'm not very tall. I think I would be better off if I were taller since the seat track lowers the further back you go. Once I get it to a point where I can sit up straight and not hit my head, my feet are not touching the pedals!!

As far as wiring, etc I looked around and it seems like the seat adjustments are working properly so it is as low as it goes.

will the pass seat let you sit like you would want in the drivers side? you can also make the seats do the same thing, and make sure they both go as low as the other one, to rule out a bad motor.

you 04 guys are supposed to have better seats too. at least those who have them like them better.

The passenger seat is not powered like the driver side, so there are not as many adjustments. I think the seats are great as far as support and comfort, I just wish they were about an inch or two lower.

Chad...I'm thinking something is wrong. I'm a 5 10 guy as well and have had no issues in 4-5 different 04+ cars.

Good to know. Maybe I will see if there is another 04 at a local dealership that I can sit in to verify if the seat lowers any further than mine. I am hoping it is a quick fix.

Do you typically sit upright in your car?

Yes...I'm 40 ... I don't sit female upright, upright enough though. You know how female upright is pushing you a bit forward of upright. lol
