I have a 2006 Grand Prix. I have a head light problem that has developed with my car. It started to develop as a problem when I flicked the right turn signal on it would bump the high beams on. Then as soon as the turn signal cancelled they went back to the low beams. Just a few months ago I went to go to the store and the low beams would not come on. The next day my wife drove it and they were working again. They worked for another couple months, with no problems. Then they went out again and never came back on. I thought because of the previous problem, it was the control switch, so I replaced it. That did not fix the problem. I have read that the relays on these cars can be problem-matic. I tested the power going to the relay. Only one of the 4 slots had pwr and that did not change no matter what position the light switch was in. It would seem to me that the problem is somewhere between the switch and the relay. I also checked both fuses in the main fuse block and they are ok. I read somwhere that there are fuses in the passneger dash panel, but I did not find any that looked to be related to the head lamps. Any one have any advise?
    Thanks

    jdcowboy,

It sounds like you may have a short, just a suggestion, not a diagnosis. Consider having the vehicle inspected by a certified technician for an official diagnosis.

Here’s a digital copy of the owner’s manual, which may help with your question regarding the fuses: http://www.extendedgmwarranty.com/ow...-GrandPrix.pdf

If you have additional questions, or need assistance locating a technician in your area, please feel free to contact me privately.
