So some of you may recall my intro thread when i bought the car in august so i don't know too much about the car yet and have had nice surprises water pump oil, sending unit, new brake and gas lines front to rear kind of not fun surprises. Anyway to my question i was going a little fast and somehow managed to break the exhaust and when i mean break i mean break the thing that looks like an accordion that leads from the back of the engine to the cat broke and when i mean break i mean broke blew out the sides. Like i said i was going pretty fast so is this normal at high speeds or was this a freak accident the car does have 147k and it looks to be the original cat.

Side note a gtp does not sound too good with no exhaust and cops will pull you over taking it to your mechanic -_-

I had to get a whole new cat because its all one pipe and i wanted a new cat anyway and every place i called was like that pipe is almost impossible to break and i must really have been pushing it

Yeah I would say lean towards broken mounts too. Did you remove your dog bones or something?
