Thread: best exhaust to go with sd headers

Stock. Honestly.

Headers will give you a deeper note, and be just a little bit louder.

If you want loud, get a catback exhaust, and it will bolt right on. Best sounding is Borla, but get ready to dish out some serious money.

If you want loud on a budget, swap out the mufflers with ones of your choice. Youtube search to see how different mufflers sound.

Don't remove the resonator.

And lastly, if you want to be deaf, then just straight pipe it.

So, to recap.
Stock
Borla (catback of muffs)
Homemade/shop welded in mufflers of choice
Other brand catback (such as magnaflow or ZZP)
Straight pipe.

Please don't straight pipe it. It sounds nasty. See what headers sound like and then swap mufflers if you want.

That works.

Quiet is better on a 3800.

My borla mufflers werent that much.....

I like it... it does get a little loud though on the highway. Can't wait to hear it with the cam

i had a slp set up on my 98 gtp... i liked them

ignore the tips i did not align the exhaust yet. and now there is a magnaflow muffler in there too
......... annnnnd notice my father in the back ground telling me to "shhhhh"
