over the last few weeks I have noticed a certain haze taking over my hood. Like a fading. I have tried buffing it away but it tends to make it worse my next step I think is trying to Wetsand it. Has anyone else run across this. I generally take pretty good care of my cars but this is baffling me.

maybe a good wash, clay bar, polish and wax?

I have seen the haze start before and a good clay barring smooth it back out, but I have also see it and nothing worked. I think it depends on the clear coat and the paint itself. But a good effort would be worth it vs having to paint because you didn't try.

My roof and deck lid were repainted at some point in my cars lifetime and I have that same haze. The repainted paint and clear coat was not done right and over time its turned to this.

I bought a new deck lid to fix the one problem, but my roof will not be fixed for some time if I ever care to deal with it.

I took a claybar to it and its better brought some of the shine back, But still clearly visible when you looking for it. Gonna run the buffer over it one more time. 02 ws6 do you mean clear coat?
