i used a thrush glass pack, 32 inch for 25 bucks at auto zone. you want to get one thats 2.25 i/d.

i had a flange welded on the end of mine and slapped it in, but i also have after market pipes, not factory welded cat back. so if you cant weld, you;ll need a muffler shop to swap it.

like this. btw, this is exactly how a walker replacement res looks like, only 1/2 the cost.

Will a 30inch sound much different then a stock res. And its the shorter, the louder right?

the longer the better to fight the drone.

my res measured 30 inches tube to tube end, the new one was 32, but i cut off 2.5 inches for the flange to be welded on.

best to measure yours and go from there.

if you going to have a shop weld it in you can put in what ever size you want too.

im all stock with the glass pack and a new single stock replacement muffler set up, and its nice and quiet. thats what i was after, due to the fact these engines never sound good. it will never have that V8 sound.

Thanks for the advice. If I wanted my car to have more sound (drone) then with the stock res. (Which I know you wouldn't recommend) What inch glasspack would you recommend?

Larger the GP, the quieter the exhaust.

A nicely toned setup that is decently quiet would be a 24"~ glasspack, stock piping, an aftermarket tip of your choice and a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler...or an SLP/Corsa/Borla Muffler.

Deleting the cat or getting a high flow unit would add some deepness to it as well...just keep in mind the larger the res, the less rasp you have.

Here is my setup on my SS : ZZP Plog, 3in DP, U bend delete, Res. delete, stock piping, Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers and Quad tips. It's not bad sounding at all. Not loud in cabin at all, and lil to no drone. A resonator makes it way too quite for my tastes, but to each his/her own. Video in link below was taken a few hours ago, so I appologize for the wind and the loud ass dog in the background lol.
