Thread: Door handle stuck, inside passenger side

Anyone ever hear of this issue before? Door handle stuck, inside passenger side. Can't open the door from the inside. I told my son that could come in handy if he hauls girls around . . . wifey was not pleased. Oh well, another door panel to remove.

Sounds like the rod has popped off the handle if this is the front passenger door. If its the rear door (on a 4 door that is), then maybe the child lock is active?

It's the rear passenger; only one that's acting up. The handle is mostly stuck; it'll move a little bit, but won't pull out far enough to release the latch. Works fine though from the ouside.

Take a look at the slot on the door once you open it, about midway down on the edge. Should be a slot for a small screwdriver to fit and move it to unlock/lock to children. Maybe your's is stuck. Try moving it between the 2 positions and then leave it in the "inactive" position and see if you can get it to open from the inside handle.

BY golly that was it. The label was missing on that door but I saw the label on the other door. It was the child lock all the time. Well, another job well done!
