i recently bought a 02 grand prix se with the 3.1 engine. everything was fine except it started blowing the fuse for the power trunk and rear brake lights. i think the automatic door locks when it is put in gear are on the same circuit.
at the fuse block under the hood i get a dead short on one side of the fuse socket. in the trunk i unplugged the wiring harness for the power trunk and the lights but the problem is before this point.
any thoughts on how to trouble shoot where the problem is? not sure where all of the connection points are in the wiring harness for the circuits involved.
