Am i the only one on this forum that has had to get 4 different used engines replaced due to rod knock in under 6 months?

I literally have only gotten 550 miles out of the "best" engine i had in this car.

Since a day after i bought the car it had rod knock, bought a used engine, had it swapped in, 1 week later rod knock, 3 weeks later swapped in a ANOTHER used engine, 4 weeks later rod knock.....

What could possibly keep killing this car honestly?

This car has taken almost all my savings out from under me all i ask of the skilled & experienced people on this forum is to give as many ideas as possible to why it would keep giving rod knock.

To clarify on this last engine i had i granny drove it and it lasted me 4 weeks (best out of 3) never went more than half throttle intill 60-65mph.

I have searched for months and months only to read gibberish.

Is it possible Dex-cool coolant is killing these engines? I read somewhere that dex cool will eat through plastic and cause oil+coolant mix.

    Bad motor mounts?

Im really at my final terms with this car and i'm not really going to sell it for less than i paid for and im not going to sell it rigged so i just want some brainstorming and before you "vets" try to bully me and say "Search it up" trust me i have searched over this no joke 50-100 times for problems in this car every month.

How many miles were previously on these motors? Short/long block swaps? And yes, red dexcool is crap. I refuse to use it. I'm sure motor mounts would only hurt axles/tranny and give a vibration.

I'm gonna put an end to this conversation before it starts. Dexcool is a perfectly fine coolant if properly maintained every 12 to 24 months. It was originally advertised as a 6 year/70k mile coolant, which it is not.

Unmaintained, it can cause a mix that can eat through the plastic LIM gaskets, but its not something that happens overnight. You would notice a bad gasket or inconsistancy in fluids before any potential damage occurs.

Annnnd I'm going to put an end to this misinformation right now. Dex cool does not eat plastic gaskets. Heat cycles destroy the gaskets. Dex wasn't present in the 92-96 3800's and they had the exact same gasket issue.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

What are you doing when you replace the engines? Just a long block for long block swap, or are you changing internals?

4 engines? Are you serious? I have never blown an engine in the 4 GTP's I've owned all of which were over 130K miles with my current one at 200K+.

A couple of questions for you:

Where are you getting your used engines from?
    Who is installing them?
Are you using anything off the old engines for the new one such as the heads/SC pulley etc?
    Are you scanning?
Are you 100% sure all the sensors are functioning and giving you accurate readings for example temp sensor?

Are you sure you didn't bang up the knock sensors dropping the new engine in? That's my guess.

How do you know it's rod knock? Are you loosing power? Are you getting a crazy KR? Is there metal shavings in the oil? I have a rod knock... I mean loose exhaust manifold that sounds like a rod knock.

You has to feed the HAMSTER!!!

Truthfully I would question something other than the motors, unless you just have really bad Karma or something.
I have a 80k JY pulled motor and its been a champ for the past 30k. but when I put it in I had the SC & LIM pulled and all gaskets replaced so I knew there wouldn't be any problems for a while. IF you didn't do this at least, you were asking for trouble. I would as others said, question the installer, sensors, if you use a smaller pulley on the supercharger, if the PCM is tuned wrong and/or your using a stock motor, something other than 4 motors and just bad luck.

Crushed bearings and metal in the oil

Get them from a local engine recycler that pulls used engines from yards and such, last one i had was check over and ran before put in my car, had 40,000k on them.

    Who is installing them?
A person who used to work at a pontiac servicer before they are closed and now works at a dodge service center.

Are you using anything off the old engines for the new one such as the heads/SC pulley etc?
As far as i know the heads were from the used nothing was re-used engine wise.

    Are you scanning?
As in scan gauge(aeroforce scan gauge) no i haven't gotten one yet. I hear about scanning your car but mine is stock what would be the purpose of scanning a stock engine.

Are you 100% sure all the sensors are functioning and giving you accurate readings for example temp sensor?
How would i tell if they were working "accurattly"
