ok, so this here post is the exact same thing my dad is having with his regal.
we were wondering if there was any way of fixing it, or working around it somehow? thanks!!!

Another cheap alternative fix is what the f body guys do. You just need to find the connector for the VATS module.

Thanks for the information, that was the Problem I had with my 94 Grand Prix. Must have broken the wire when turning it OFF, used a rheostat and dialed up my number and it started up. Security Light stayed on for a couple of Days but then went OFF while driving it.
