That's more of a personal opinion...I got a set of Borla and it sounds pretty damn good for not being a v8 imo.

if you just do the mufflers then you will have to "destroy" the factory exhaust and if he ever want to sell the car then he wouldnt have the option of putting the stock exhaust back on and sell the catback separately. im guessing he cant weld so he will hve to pay someone to weld the mufflers on and if he ever wants to take the mufflers off then he will have to pay someone again to put other mufflers back on. A good used catback will cost around the same or maybe less than having that done. I spent $425 on my corsa and brand new its $1200 so any catback thats cheaper than that brand new he could probly get for even cheaper used.
If you only got a pizza delievery job then sell the GP and get a cheap beater car that is good on gas. Once you get a real job you can afford a nice RWD V8 that will put a GTP to shame.
Well you did get the Corsa for amazing price. When it comes to demodding say if I ever was to sell my car..the borla would be staying...not worth the effort/time/money and of course shipping to remove. Yea I would have them removed but factor in all those options...I wouldn't be making enough to justify it.
It's easier to spend $100 on a set of mufflers and maybe $50 to have them welded up. Your only a $150 in the whole versus the minimal I seen a used catback go for is $400. Of course it depends on what brand you get and what deal you can find etc. That's more of a general comparison.
you can buy mufflers for cheap...
or just do a res delete and put in a glasspack. 30 dollars for a glasspack at advance auto parts/ wherever.
alot of people dont realize this platform isnt good for making power. sure you can make power...but at what cost? and it sounds like you need this car for your job. i would just put an intake and headers on it. get an aftermarket PCM. call it a day with this car.
arent borla mufflers around $300 for a set including the tips?
I would say get headers, mod it and then if you decide to buy a gtp down the road just make sure to keep the old manifolds and intake, you can re-sell them on here for 80% of their original value.
i will when i have the money lol
yeah, it all depends on what you want to hear.
Eh I have posted these a few times

and then theres this one that was taken after i did my shift kit. sound quality isnt great in the higher rpms because of it being recorded on a cell phone but i think theres enough to say that it sounds pretty good.

Not really paid $150 new for 2 of them on ebay a few years back and bought $70 exhaust tips and $20 to have them welded on so $240 down the drain..well worth it. I think u get what you pay for when it comes to mufflers..yes they're cheaper options but some sound well cheap.

A cat-back is a complete waste of your hard earned pizza delivery money Mario! Put your money into a set of headers.
