I have a 2007 base pontiac grand prix i had an extra throttle body lying around from a previous grand prix and decided to take it to get ported. I had it ported and it made a huge difference. It ran for about 2 minutes and than started saying reduce engine power. I disconnected the battery and tried it again. Same Results so i had to put my old throttle body back on. Does any one know if i need a tune to support all that extra air flow??

If you cant outflow your stock TB, then you dont need it.

And yes, you'd need a tune if you port the throttle body.

You also have an N/A 3800.

The L26 is plenty of airflow, you won't need to upgrade...that and it is a DBW TB...so it isn't as easy to upgrade as the cable driven '03 or older cars are.

Also, if that is a breather filter on your oil cap...put the stock cap back on...that is only causing a vacuum leak letting in post MAF un-metered air get by.
