Ive been running Rotella T 15-40 HDEO in my Prix since I got it 2 years ago. 30K miles on it and all seems very well.

Rotella has never let me down, From my 4Wheelers, Bike, and Cars.

why are you using that thick of oil? your putting added stress on your bearings, the manufacturer machined oil clearances for 10w30

save that stuff for diesel engines.. thats what its made for

I've used a few diff brands over the years.... Been using mobil clean 5000 cause i get it free from a buddy! I notice a mpg change in the car with different oil filters. Amsoil and wix seem to be the best... Even after 2 months of driving, the oil on looks clean.. Almost look like it does new!

    Mobil 1 Racing 4T 10w-40 Full Synthetic, and it's only $15 a quart.

Other than that, I tend to run 10w-30 Full Synthetic in the vehicles with more tires.

Just goes to show how inflated the prices of brand names can be when a large retailer can buy a big manufacturer's oil, label it Walmart brand or Advance brand full synthetic and sell it for 4.99/qt and make a profit..

That means said big manufacturer sold it to them for less than that and still made a profit, when just because the label says Mobil 1 on it, the same oil in the bottle is suddenly 8.99/qt, lol

They also dont pay the fee to have their oil certified for anything past API.

Whatever is on sale at AZ, then you jsut return the filter and get a good k&n one and boom $15 oil change, hasen't done me wrong in over 225k miles, when I had my heads all off nothing was caked, no excessive clearances and the cylinder walls still has crosshatching.
