what you do is, connect the sensor to the battery and it should work.

thanks to all who send their love. Serious people I need some help with my ABS and TRACKOFF light, over a week ago the amber light remains on ,I first test out the hub unit, the resistance is over 1100 ohms,I look at the fuse for the ABS in front its ok still not fix.what I was thinking is y not take a spare hub harness on hook the hub 1 at a time plug in the spare harness and splice it close to the abs module and see if the light goes out @ least i get to know if the original harness is good or bad. What u people thing so far.

If you know someone with a scan tool plug it in and spin each wheel one at a time and read the wheel speed on the scanner. Whichever one comes up with no reading or an odd reading is where the problem is. Its either gonna be the sensor which is integrated into the hub so you'll have to replace the whole hub. Or the wires going to the sensor are bad then you gotta buy this 2001 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Connector and splice it in and that should fix your problem.

Oh also check next to your crank pulley (harmonic balancer) and see if it rubbed thru the harness. Not too common I've heard of it happening before
