Im not sure if this is a common problem but i have a 2000 gt and the ac does not blow cold out all the vents. The 3rd middle vent to the right and the pass side blow cold. Every vent to the left gets warmer until its hot. My car has no dual temp selector so can anybody tell me how to fix it. I just charged the ac up. It could have a small leak but i need some cool air on the driver side.

It's very common for the passenger side vents to blow colder than the driverside, even if you don't have the dual setup. Both of my cars do it. One has the the standard 3 knob and the other has the dual digital. Not sure how to remedy it though. Ive never cared enough to look into it lol

about 50 used, or 100 new. i took mine off turned the knob by hand, turned my actuator to match and stuck it back on with no screws, i've been just turning it back and fourth for the last year and half. as the seasons change.

I have a 2003 Grand Prix SE, Just finished all my AC work yesterday. I too experienced colder air on the passenger side and the longer the syetem ran the driver side would start to get cooler. My problem was caused by low refridgerant due to a leak in the system. I choose to fix it myself, saved close to a thousand dollars. Depending how handy or daring you choose to be my thought is if a mechanic can do it so can I. I also realize my car has no value left in so if I screw it up not a total loss.

Anyhow. Due to the age of the car, you can have a leak just about anywhere in the system. On my car, the condenser was shot, and had a leak in the seals at the compressor. My recommedation is take it to a pro to diagnose. If you do choose to do the work make sure you have the system evac'd of all any remaining refridgerant as it is illegal to vent the system in the atmospehere.

If you want too shoot me a PM and I can help answer any other questions you may have, I have become well versed in getting to the AC components to check or replace them.
