Paddle Shifter (With Display) - TCI® Auto

For those that wanted the Comp G paddle shift this seems right up your alley. Anyone already install this? I couldn't find many results in searches.

Sounds like way to much work for an option that makes you slower. And I doubt that would ever work because of how different the COMP G is to a GTP, GT computer/trans wise.

I understand if they maybe wanted the paddels for "fun", but its not worth it.

Its universal for any automatic transmission, just has to fit the steering wheel. I will agree it is too expensive for not actually doing anything for performance whatsoever, but like I said, people who always wanted the Comp G paddleshift might like this product.

Pricey....I have tapshift have I used it...yes when I thought it was cool first week of purchasing car....have I used it again in the last 4 years...no. Wouldn't you have to have a trans equipped w/ tapshift for it to work? If that's the case it would be pointless.

It is a solenoid that fits on the gear selector to wirelessly shift. You retain usage of the stock shifter, and it is universal fit, for any automatic, ford, chevy, toyota, FWD, RWD, AWD, whatever.

There are other companies that now make wireless tapshifts for standard transmissions, just like top end exotics. Mastershift.com is one of them. Several youtube videos about it.

It looks like none of them even fit our car with airbag steering wheel though, so I guess forget I even brought this idea up.

That's a lot of money for a couple buttons attached to a stick. $20 says an arduino based system could do the same thing for under $100 and look just as professional.

Hmmmmmm...thanks for the idea!!! I admit I had to google what the heck a arduino is!

I'm not advertising, I just like to share stuff I find interesting. Saw one at a car show, and I thought it was pretty awesome. It was on a 3rd gen Camaro 700r4

I thought it was an intersting idea and looked it over. For the universal wheel, need for CAN and no airbag it seemed like a stretch to put in a W body, but neat.

I think push button start is stupid too..but people do that.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
