99 gtp completly stock. what i do know is that the supercharger needs a new coupler and i plan on getting one asap just trying to figure out a few issues before i do that because i am going to be getting a cai and a smaller pulley and will just replace the coupler when i do that....i know its bad cuz it sounds like theres rocks raddleing around in the snouth of the supercharger. my other issues is my car has a pretty bad rough idle..but seems responsive and still kicks down pretty well. noticed that my stock boost guage doesnt go all the way maxed out its one block from maxed. so like 9 out of 10 blocks or what ever. also my car will be driving down the road and will die.. sometimes run ruff for a second and shut off the rpm guage ( everything else works tho) when it dies sometimes it wolnt start and i will need to let it sit there for a few min im thinking that issue is the crank sensor...but with the bad idle im not sure. maybe bad idle is o2 sensor im going to pull plugs tomorrow to see what shape them are in... if anyone has anything to add as to what it could be please help out....so im thinking for ratteling rock sound...needs coupler....for rough idle...needs a o2 snesor... and for non start issue im thinking crank sensor...also i did unplug the maf sensor to see if the idle issue went away and it didnt change at all so pretty sure its not the maf....also im not throwing any codes...when i hook my scanner up to it it says no code...

The throwing rock sound and rough idle are related. Both should be fixed when you replace the coupler.

    It can, yes.

Do you have a boost gauge?

There's no such thing as a stock boost gauge. You have lego blocks.

Yes a bad coupler can leave you lacking in the lego department.

Before bill chimes in the regals have a stock boost gauge lol. The car randomly dying is probably the crank sensor.

Regal has a digital information center, you get real numbers. Bonne had a stock manifold pressure gauge. and I started to write a thread about why GP's suck so bad ....starting with the gauge and decided to wait for another time.

not to get off subject here guys... this is a gp and i would like to keep the talk to gtp so i dont get too confused...thankyou...but i finally after 3 days of driving the car with no check engine light coming on it finally has arrived and i pulled a p0300 random misfire code...could that be something totally different than the crank sensor or is it thowing the misfire cuz the crank sensor is disrupting the coils

Sorry..didn't mean to side track you. I was awaiting to hear how you made out changing the coupler etc.

It's quite tough to read your paragraph the way you wrote it. Sounds like you need to do a tune up, fix a supercharger coupler and see what is left once you correct the known issues.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

i guess my question at this point would be would the coupler or the crankshaft sensor throw a p0300 random misfire code?
