    Ok, I want opinions.
My car sits outside in the sun all day, everyday. I have a cheapo sun shade and it helps tremendously, but it doesn't fit worth a darn and is always falling down because it's soft and has no support.

I started looking at the Intro-Tech ones, they seem to be pretty good with good reviews.
    Intro-Tech Automotive Windshield Sun Shades

What I'm asking is if anyone uses one and has suggestions on brands and what not?
I see that they do get into the $60+ range, I'd like to stay under $40-50.
If ordering online is the only way to get a nice "firm" one that will stay put, I'm ok with that.
Also, not real crazy about anything with suction cups because they leave marks on the glass and I don't wanna have to be washing the inside every time a remove it.
Really only looking for one for summer as winter cold isn't a big deal to me. I've noticed some of the nicer ones are dual purpose.

Actually, a good friend of mine has been in the glass business for quite some time.

Those things are nothing but possible trouble for your windshield...think about all the heat that thing reflects and gets trapped in the small area between your little light guard and the windshield.

    Yay, cracked.

Seen it, I'd just live with cracking the windows and getting darker tint...and a brow that goes down pretty far....orr...car cover?

My dad brought up the cracking issue too. The windshield already has a slight chip that got filled, so I guess that's just asking for trouble with the shield.
I've got 15% all around and about 8" down on the front (I think). I wish I would have gone further, but I didn't wanna attract attention.
If I was super brave, I'd have 50% or something put over the whole front, but idk...

I would rather have a slim chance of having my windshield crack than my dash cracking.

I have used all variations of those things for years, cardboard, fabric, foil, never had a windshield crack, but on the foil ones I never put the foil facing glass. Right now I have these actually have had them since 1991 stil use them keep steering wheel cool and drops inside temp

Here's a custom fit sun shade for $30. I've had the Camaro version of this shade from this vendor for 10 years now with no issues.

Having buddies in FL and AZ, they swear by shades. I use a reflective one. Sunvisors hold it up nicely.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I'll research some more tonight. Mines just to soft to support itself.
I don't mind spending a little more if its really going to stay and not fall out. Considering even the cheap made ones are salty.
