I've been on this forum for little while but just recently in the last month or so i actually went ahead and bought a 98 GTP, that being said i'm having trouble finding the DIY mods on the site, i went through almost all of How To Write-Ups/Tech Tips and general tech but i can't find the following how to guides

    -Cat/Resonator remove
    -DIY open cone intake

and any other cheap performance mods.

really? I think those are the most common threads. The search option on this site sux. But if you google what you're looking for, it will usually bring you back to a thread here. This is for DIY intake.(One of many)

idk if you are think of that debate thread were the difference in HP was so small its not even worth it to a cold air intake over making your own.

But really the fact of the matter is, K&N suck because its over priced and the filters are oiled and will destroy maf sensors. Dry flow is way better.

The link posted above in the 2nd post is really the only thread I can think of off the top of my head that shows good pictures on how to make one and the parts needed.

Open cone or just a cone filter will do, its all the same really.

So will adding an open cone make the s/c whine louder?

Yes. The factory setup does a nice job of toning it down. An open cone intake will be loud, but a FWI will be louder.

How much/difficult would it be to do a fenderwell intake? I'm just assuming they allow more air flow than a regular cai.
