    Hi All,

I am about to get a good deal through the family on a '03 SE. I've seen bits and pieces about a 'Sport Sedan' package that was an option back in the day and I believe that explains what I am getting option wise - as I know it has the 16" five-spoke painted aluminum wheels - not sure what other options that Sport Sedan pkg adds over a base-model, stripped down SE. Can anyone tell me definitively if the SE Sport Sedan has ABS and auto headlights. I don't believe the car has ABS just judging by the quick glance I took under the hood a while back, but I can't recall and don't know if it was standard equipment back then on these. I know the info center doesn't have a traction control button of any sort, if that helps answer the question since I bet GM offered those two features together.

    Thanks in advance!

Honestly, SE's are bottom of the bottom. ABS was standard for GM for many years, but in 03 it was optional only, as was cruise. Used to, you could get the 3.8 engine in an SE with a specific package, but I believe that stopped in either '99 or '00.

It's a big car with a 3.1 V6. If your just wanting a car, grab it. If you're wanting something you can mod and play with too, skip it and get at least a GT.
    '13 Stang - V6 MT82 - GHIG
    '00 Grand Prix SE - Pink (L67 Swapped/XP Cam/3.25")
'98 Grand Prix GTP - Black ($500 toy with broken trans. )
'01 Bonneville SE - Sitting on a hillside needing attention

I know - it's more or less a base model - I'd rather have a GTP or even GT, but it'll be a daily driver and I'm not looking for something to fly down the road in. If it didn't have the sporty package with it that adds the bigger, non-stupid looking wheels from the Asstec that the true SE base came with, etc I wouldn't go for it. It does have cruise, power seats, dual-zone climate, the 3100 (that I'm getting the LIM changed on to avoid the known issues and issues my current daily driver has experienced with the same engine), etc - it's alot better car than I have now that I drive back and forth to work. At the end of the day I'm getting this car for $2500 in mint condition, not a door ding, no rocker panel rust, garaged all its life, all maintenance records, single owner in the family, 80K miles, etc. Can't frickin' beat it!

I wouldn't even think twice about it at that price.
It's a CUMMINS Dodge not a Dodge Cummins

Yep. Grab it. My '00 was the same way when I bought it, except for undercarriage rust. It came from Ohio... Yay! >>

Oddly enough, in '02 I think, dual climate became standard for all GPs. Go figure... ABS/cruise optional, but you get dual climate! If it does have power seats, it probably is a maxed out SE.

GM in their infinite wisdom on the ABS, and agreed on the loaded SE - It's got everything I'll ever need. Slap a type-R sticker on the back for 30 more horsepower like the kids do and I'm good!

my 02 is said to have a "Sport Package". According to the vin the "sport package" comes with t-stars, spoiler, front sway bar, front bumper.
I found it odd at first, since there all the same, just drive train differences
