A friend (who will go unnamed since he's a member) picked up a car to resell. It needs a trans swap, and ended up at my house. I lift the hook with the plastic scoops on it to find

And the starter supposedly doesn't work. Uh.. I think I know why

For reference, that battery cable shouldn't be grounded to the transmission case. It should be on the starter. The ground is where it belongs.

Bill it's okay to admit that you grabbed a GP since we all know you have been wanting one. Since you have your lil purple friend it is only natural you would go with a purple theme on your GP so please don't feel the need to do the whole I have a friend thing, just admit it's yours and we will all congratulate you on your purchase. Some smaller minded individuals may tease you about the purple but not I.

That's nothing. I've seen people replace brake line with rubber fuel line. When people decide to work on cars and they don't even know the basics, the results can be rather... horrifying.

Bill... odd that you try to call me out on this car. It's truly another person's. However as I recall (prep yourself, this might sting) you hooked your positive battery cable to the transmission as well. Do you have a brother or cousin in the northeast? Were you telling this guy how to hook this up?

    u've been skooled yo

Mike... Acutally..it's a trans. Nothing wrong with it. Most of you guys cringe about them. Tell ya what. That vacuum modulator screws up a lot less than the PCS that our improved version the 4T65 got. The 65 is really just an "improved" 60. More vanes in the pump for higher rpms, better diff (truth..I swear) and no more vacuum are the major differences that I'm aware of.

the problem with that purple is its to pink, not dark enough for me. i like purple but it needs to be the right shade of purple.
