I have a 97 GTP wondering if i could run a Gen 5/V kR free or little kR with a Plog, 2 1/2" catless DP, CAI/Ram air, Plugs, and wires, with a 3.8" pulley?
probably not doing it anytime soon just curious if i get one ill probably upgrade to headers

Im pretty sure you can run a gen v with a stock pulley on a stock car, with those mods you might be able to run a 3.7 or even a 3.6 pulley.

nah you need some more supporting mods to drop a pulley size...headers would be the best place to start.

Get Headers. 2 1/2" DP+Plog is next to worthless even on a stock pulley Gen3 --

You should be able to drop at least a pulley size with a plog and a dp.
Nixon I think he got the plog and dp for next to nothing.

GenV is more efficient then genIII. genV pulley size is like a gen3 two sizes down.
    I.E. Gen3 3.6 = genV 3.8

They know that it's a disease. The minute he puts a GenV on the mod bug will bite home so hard, he'll go into delirium and a large order will suddenly be put into zzp or intense and his wallet will be lighter. We're just heading off future questions.

Yes you will be fine. I applaud you for thinking about going straight to a Gen V. That's a solid start if planning to stay the S/C route. I would throw in a manual cutout for good measure. Cheapest bolt/weld on exhaust mod you will find.
