I have a ZZP under drive water pump pulley i got it for free with my down pipe, im going to need a new belt soon and im not sure if its worth putting on it seams almost the same size as the factory (a lil bigger) but its defiantly lighter then the factory. Im not sure if i should put it on and buy a one size larger belt because im gonna need a new belt anyway, or should i just sell it and spend my money on something else? Its brand new, does anyone have one? If so is it worth putting on, and what benefits do you get? So what do you guys think is my best option if its not to big of a gain i could use the money to spend on something else for my car. Its a 97 GTP.

    heres zzp's take on it.

ZZPerformance - Water Pump Underdrive Pulley #ZZ-WTRPUNDPUL

i personally dont think its worth to buy but for free it wouldnt hurt to put it on. thing is you have to get a larger belt. then if you drop ur pulley size you have to get another belt. so when you get the belt you have to think well my supercharger pulley is smaller than stock but my water pump pulley is larger.

as long as the hassle of getting a belt isnt too much, id probably put it on since i got it for free. nothing wrong with less weight.

there's 2 belts on a GTP you know that lol the water pump is on the main drive belt so dropping pulley sizes wouldn't have an effect on the belt size for the main drive

When i put mine on i didnt need a new belt. Stock belt works good. It seemed to help my car rev easier and a tad of extra pull from down low.

I like mine, I have a Smoothflow though. I haven't had any kind of issue with it running warmer than before the pulley.

Really guy? Why? Why is it not worth putting on? It's been PROVEN to give you about 5hp and about 5 ft-lbs of torque? He got the damn thing for free, it takes 15 minutes tops to swap it out. So WHY is it not worth it?

Because you're really losing that much wp efficiency by using it?

Aren't u the same guys that advocate the use of a stock t-stat?

Go 180... 160 is too cold and your heat in the winter will suck. The only reason you should even run a 180* is if you're bumping timing or dropping pullies. If you're stock, then don't even bother.
