What exactly happened? Nearest I can figure the pressure in the fuel line made the sending line pop off and spew gas everywhere.

fuel lines go back to the tank. You'd probably be best wtih an AN setup. That way there's threads and the line can't pop off. Wondering if this is common with zzp rails. Bill Stewarts car did the same.

    Finally got her finished! Here's a breif list of what had to be replaced;

    Master Cylinder
    Fuel lines
    BBV
    MAF
    FPR gauge
    Injector Orings
    S/C gasket
    Wiring Harness
    S/C tensioner
    Alternator
    Tensioner pulley
    Accessory belt
    S/C belt
    Spark plug wire #1
    Vacuum line
    Wiper fluid bottle neck
And of course I repainted everything & I'm still finding extinguisher foam in places. Since it's done now I'll probably sell it soon.

Call me a noob if you will, but what is that rear bar between the strut towers, and why doesn't my car have it?

its a strut tower brace, came stock on bonnes, regals and park ave's...you can get them on the aftermarket. this is the cheapest option of them all. but they all work the same imo.

Its a strut tower brace. They help with body flex. They dont come with them from the factory.

Came stock on nearly everything but the "sportscar". Bonne and PA were too big to fit to a W body. Many Regals had then stock, Impalas also had them stock. A JY typically charges about $10 for one.
