i ordered the dp on here and the guy was suppose to send an o2 emulator with it but he couldn't find it so he threw in the under drive pulley and new rear o2 sensor in for free so i got the under drive pulley and really have no idea what it even does

its supposed to free up some hp as well as help with fuel economy. I know its a litter lighter then the stock pulley. I was actually looking into getting one for my car as well as a UD pulley for my alternator. I think with that pulley you have to get a bigger belt. If you put it on let me know how it works out

yea I'm not sure about the s/c applications but i think it said somewhere if you get both UD pulleys that you need a size bigger belt

What it does is spin the WP slower which makes it easier for the motor to spin it. I haven't heard anything ill from running one, everyone's motor seems to run at the same temp. It works on either motor since the accessory drives are just about the same.

I have a Smoothflow one. They're made out of aluminum compared to stock steel. Also they are obviously larger, hence under drive. Me gusta.

If you got an electric water pump would you need to worry about an underdrive pulley for it?

Electric water pumps are a waste of money, save the cash and buy something else.

So you'd suggest an underdrive pulley for the water pump instead of a flat out electric water pump?

Nope, leave it stock. 95% of us never mess with under-driving or over-driving pulleys. There really is no gain in any of it.

Well I'm looking for every little bit of power I can squeeze out of it so I'm gonna do one or the other.
