I've looked all over on the internet and it seems like I can't find a single intake kit for my GP. All I can find is the '04 and '05 model intakes. Also if anyone happens to know why my car would say Service Theft System on the display and then turn the guages off, I would greatly appreciate any kind of knowledge pertaining to that.

you should take some time and make your own intake. not only will it be better than anything you buy, it will be significantly cheaper.

There isn't any difference b/w an 04 and 08 NA intake.
Go to the hardware store, get two 3" to 4" rubber pipe fittings, a curved 4"PVC pipe, and a conical filter of your choice.

The ones from the 05 will fit the 08.... however, I just did this, $40 and done. However, I still want to remove that corrugated piece.

that corrugated piece is the piece where most of the restriction is, the bumpy corrugation causes turbulence and it backs up the air. Dirk knows whats up, that's what I did on my 08 and it works and sounds great. Costed me probably 30 bucks total, including the filter.

Adapter on TB > pvc section > adapter on pvc section > MAF > Filter > Happy

Also, while you're in there with your intake off, I took my TB off all together and took some tb cleaner to it, wiped it out really good, let it dry.. same with the MAF, except use MAF cleaner, nothing else, and do not touch the wires inside with anything, just spray it down and let it dry 100%.

Much appreciated for the info with intake, when I get back from this deployment I will be able to make my own. Does anyone know about the theft system though? I heard that it might be the chip in the key possibly, cause it does have a slight bend and when it happens I turn the car off and unlock the door with the key and it works for a while, so should I go to the dealership when it happens so they can test the system?

You'll be glad you did when the $50~ intake is on par or surpasses the $300 K&N junk.

What did you do about the front section of the air box blocking where your filter is sitting? I just got a CAI off eBay for my 08, and I can't figure out the best way to remove it without screwing up what I think is the ECM mounted at the bottom. I'm also getting a code for incorrect upstream airflow, what's the best way to rectify that? Thanks in advance.

You need to take the cross brace off and then take that part of the box out of there. If I remember correctly you need to pull up hard on it. Also, you need to get rid of that stock accordion hose. That is the most restrictive part of the system.

The 04 and 05 fit but if you get one with a full box the 08 air conditioning lines will interfere with the fit. It will fit though.

As for the exam you secure it below the filter on the flat spot the OE box used to be

Thanks for the replies, guys. I ended up cutting the box so I could retain the factory ECM mounts and put it back in. I'm goin to respect that accordion when I have more cash for, the air intake was a gift so I'm on limited options atm. Here's a rough picture of progress, I know I need to redo the paint on the bars.
