I didn't read the descriptions but honestly when u buy that, pay for shipping, pay for the labor to get the u bend cut out and new piece welded in, u paid the price for a downpipe that u can put in ur self with a new catalytic converter and complete better flow with less restriction throughout the whole thing

Not to mention selling an old cat for $100 so women can have platinum rings.

ditto what these guys said. Forget the ubend. Thats a rip-off. I paid 200 for a whole set of headers that came with a straight pipe. If you want to keep your cat you can buy a downpipe with a highflow cat for something in the $200 range from ZZP. Please take the free advice and save yourself the buyers remorse.

If you're hell-bent on just doing the u-bend delete, most good muffler places will do it for 100 bucks so you can save youself the time and labor and just pay them.

Is there a way to keep the stock cat and get the down pipe. I don't want to change the sound of the exhaust.

You could probably get a 2.5" Dia downpipe, which is barely an upgrade from stock, and have the stock cat cut out and welded in.

Cheaper and much better options are out there.

Interesting like what? I could do the stock cat and a 2.5 down pipe that sounds fine but what are the other options?

A 2.5" downpipe with a HFC will sound just like stock.

Just get that and have it bolted in.

    Like he before me says.

Honestly though, I would just opt for the 3.0" Dia downpipe with a new cat.

If you like to tinker spend $200 and install headers for a true gain.

Then sell the old cat for $100.

    Buy it at ZZP.

I think stainless on a downpipe is a waste of money.

People seem to under estimate how much a 3" dp will do for you.

    Only difference is...

    For $200...headers > downpipe.

Since they are the same price and all.

i cant see the headers giving that much more headroom over the manifolds.

Tube tends to flow better than sand cast-iron.

Not to mention being at the highest volumetric flow region.
