    Nit really looking for the most HP gain I'm more worried about airflow and better gas mileage. Thinking 2.5 with hfc or maybe stock cat.

    2.5" downpipe is a waste of money in all cases. please get a 3" downpipe for your own sake.

    I just replaced my stock downpipe w/cat with the 2.5" unit from ZZP. Much better than stock and cheaper than the local muffler shop. They wanted $450 just to weld in a new "factory" cat, I got the ZZP unit for around $250 and it was a 30 min. bolt-in. IMO if you're going to stay close to stock then this is the route I would go. If you are going to do serious modding then go with headers and 3" out the back.
