I should have cut open the one on our Colorado, 20k on one oil change with dino oil. I bet it wasn't pretty.

I cut open all my oil filters. Heck we could talk about fuel filters too
Before cutting it open, you could shake it and hear the filter banging around in there
I wish I had a picture of the 34 year old filter I pulled from the T'bird. It looked new, along with the oil flowing out of it. Still had that golden brown color to it.
Probably changed soon before it was stored then. Did you stick a motorcraft filter back on? FL-1A Motorcraft is what I put on my uncle's 390 mustang, with some 10w-40 oil
That is exactly what I did because I have a 390 as well.
I like how the ford guys with older cars always use a motorcraft, and since they're white they always stick out lol. Good filters.
I have never used one before, and have never been much of a Ford guy. I love messing around with this old T'bird.
Any tricks to removing the coolant drain plug.

Yeah it is pretty fun to. Fortunately for you yours probably doesnt need a ton of work. Every time I touch my uncle's 68 something else breaks, or I find something else broken. I worked on a 65 dodge Coronet today, removed radiator and all cooling system hoses.
Mine's a 16mm outside hex I think, I got a 16mm socket on it and turned it. If it wont come out with pliers either, just pull the lower hose. Not worth breaking the tank or anything.
I just need to get it out. It's hard to fit anything in to turn it

Haha both are a ***** to get to. I can't get pliars on the stock hose clamps

Haha where the hoses are on the ls4 I gotta find a way to get the clamps off. If I can't I may take rad cap off and hook water hose into heater core line. Or pull the engine coolant drain plug.

Cleaned and re oiled my intake filter. Took it for a little fun test ride. Pics and vid in the ride thread.
Drove my comp g for the first time in about a month. Felt great
Congrats on that bolt!
I know it's kinda late but same thing happened to me when I was putting my visor on my football helmet. I sliced my hand wide open with a box cutter with alot of force and blood shot everywhere and pooled up in no time. My mom of coarse freaked out and I thouht it was kinda bad so we went to the urgent care. After taking off the paper Towel held on by duck tape there was a scratch. The doc. Looked at me and gave me the 'your a pus*y' look and sent me home![]()
End of pointless story
