Sounds like they need some more r&d. Same could be said for the first batch of SDs that came out for the 3800s

That's what I would do let them get it off and watch them do it. Then take your business to the next shop.
I get what you guys are saying but the shops aren't close. I'd rather just make is easy on myself and take it to the other shop. Nice and simple that way and then headache will be over.
Yeah they look like pacesetter copy's but holy cow they don't fit...drivers will work with some hammer work but passenger needed like half a primary to even get flush with the head

How many broken studs though?
Stupid GM design on the LS truck manifolds.
Drilled those out couple months back when I had the heads off

Yeah those are the pacesetters painted and with the cost of y pipe would have been more then the stainless sd headers that appear to be a pacesetter copy that I grabbed off eBay...after doing some more readin people with 4wd like myself have had issues with almost every lt header so I may just junk the whole idea

Yeah - that. It's a 3100, so the LIM is bad...lol...Not a horrible motor, but those gaskets were a huge issue. Should have a decent amount of room to get to it in the GP though...it was stuffed into my '97 Grand Am GT and was a pain, but with the GP shouldn't be too bad.
Good luck figuring out the overheating thing, and score on the wheels! lol
The Grand Prix is taking my time and money trouble shooting issues and making repairs... now with my Toyota... it just works.
Any tricks on those manifold studs in the trucks? lol I have two missing heads.
Removed my entire interior because the wifes ring fell into the center console... found it under the carpet on the driver side...
Damn that driver seat is heavy![]()
Fixed the window motor again on the Trans Am, then door is ****ed from it tearing apart what feels like cardboard of the inside of the door where it bolts. Fixed it was huge washers and lock nuts for now. Also broke few things on it

I try not to but it happens. I had the batt charging cables fall off the patheic excuse for battery posts and start making fireworks. So I pulled the batt put bolts in it and its charging on the bench lol.
