Re-replaced the hub on the passenger side as it starting humming for some reason, only a couple weeks old. Now I magically have no brakes. Bleeding didn't work, getting fluid out of the calipers... ugh.
Time to track it down this afternoon...
Had a nice mini-meet yesterday in my dirty Regal haha.
No it needs to be set on the ground first. Loosen them up drop it down and rock the car around then tighten them back down
I'll go do that. I have to wait until next week Tuesday to align it so I'll do a ghetto alignment today to get it close.. It drove straight and didn't pull at all but toe is not a pulling angle.
Just got back from the Pull-A-Part lot. Picked up bolts and nuts that fell into the engine when I was doing maintenance, and got a new gas cap. Now to see if I really need a water pump...
Checked out the brakes again... got them to bleed a little better but still not great pressure. Master cylinder replacement imminent. Wonder if there's any upgrades in that area to be had...
Why not just look for a leak below the pulley that's the biggest indication that the water pump is fubared
It's a lot easier to tell with the belt off. I couldn't get much play at all with my belt on, but as soon as I took it off the play was very noticeable.
As for me, I did nothing to the GP today, other than drive it to my cousin's place. We put coilovers on his A4 today.
All in all it only took us about 5 hours, but I would say a little over an hour was spent on two stupid bolts. The pinch bolt for the upper control arm is a complete ***** in those cars. Between that and the stupid lug bolts that VW/Audi uses, I told my cousin I will never own a VW or Audi.
