Polished the tips. Not perfect yet, but at least a dull silver is better than black
I've developed a hateful relationship with bee's wings from corn harvest.
Its hard to see, but its like this over the whole surface of the car

And that's even after driving 15 minutes after work. It doesn't blow off :'(
I plan on washing it Friday so its at least clean for a few days.
Interior is hopeless to keep clean until harvest is over.
cant you park away from it? or do you have to park in a certain spot?
I can park wherever I want but it doesn't matter. Stuff blows everywhere. There's two barns between the sheller and where I park and its still that bad.
It's ok, I'll just try not to touch the paint and make sure I at least hose it off on Fridays after work.
also you could put it under a car cover.
I'm not that worried about it. I got a good coat of wax on it a few weeks ago. Car needs clayed anyways so now I'll just wait till harvest is over if its not to cold by then.
I just got back a week ago from a 300 mile round trip (600 miles total) although she did have a problem pop up, tires were seperating and it was a bumppppyyy right for the last 3 hours, but new tires are on now
Drove it like I stole it
So, I just watched the valve cover videos. I feel confident that I can do the front one no problems. The back one, however I don't think I can. I'm to short and struggle to reach back there just to reach, let alone hold tools and remove stuff that I can't see.
Short girl problems..... :th_scratchhead:
a box or tire to stand on will help out a bunch just dont fall
Pulled a bunch of un-important stuff off of it. Like the supercharger, lim, heads, etc.
Put the 105's, new retainers and seals on the heads, cleaned em up and painted them. Got the LIM marked for the gen V, and some other fun stuff.
Made the mistake of filling it up today.. Now I get to smell gas until I get it below 3/4 of a tank. Weirdest thing ever. Just another joy to add to my screeching brakes and popping steering shaft. Welcome to the W-body world! lol
Drove it to dinner tonight for the first time since the MSU (I know, I know, free tickets!) Game on Saturday.
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note II
I'm 5'6" and if I have to work in the back, my knees usually hurt pretty bad from resting my weight on them, and on the bumper. Now if I have to do that again, I'm jumping right up in there and sitting on one of the stabilizer bars(or whatever the bars are called that run under the hood to prevent the frame from twisting around turns)
got a few parts today, 2 belt tensioners assemblies, 2 idle pulleys, 2 belts, water pump, 2 hub assemblies, and 2 pigtails for wss. Only put passenger side hub on so far, no wss signal drop-outs, and no more bearing noise.
Still have a exaust rattle, I think its inside the resonator.
Not sure which one but have a bearing squeak at the belts somewhere, but ill figure that out on sunday.
Gave her a pretty good bath.. Almost 3 weeks lol
