i didn't want to jinx myself, but a few weeks ago i changed my alternator. since then the abs light has failed to trip one single time.
i wonder if low voltage could cause the abs to act up? if the light was gonna come on, it would fail the abs self test at first start up. shut it off and restart take off and all would be ok, till the next restart.
Low voltage will definitely kick the ABS light. The ABS pump puts a large draw on the alternator, so it the alt isn't charging right, the ABS pump won't work right.
now i wish i had it tested before i changed it. the battery never died, so it must have been at least a bit over 12 volts. either way, it seems i killed 2 birds with one stone. :th_thumbsup-wink:

It's random, I don't wanna shift into OD is happening more often. It's fine in 1-3 and then when you go to get on it, randomly it just wont go above 2500-3000 rpm.
It did it to me on the way home from work so after I got out of traffic I turned down a country road and had it up to 40ish and laid into it and it didn't want to shift. So I let off the gas and slowed it down and did it again and it was fine. Then it wouldn't do it again after that.
It's very random and a PITA. No codes, fluid looks fine and level is good. No engine studder, just feels like the transmission is like, mehhh....I don't really feel like it right now, give me a bit. No odd noises that I have noticed. I don't feel the transmission slip at all. Just a hesitation I guess is how I would describe it.
I added a bottle of Lucas about a month ago when we first noticed it and it didn't seem to change anything.
I did a pan drop/filter change last summer, so around 115k miles I think? And nothing looked abnormal then.
Shift kit time?
I'm not sure how long it will take them. I'm removing the skins and just taking them to him at his interior shop. I can imagine it wont take too long. Pictures will a definite.
I'm debating wrapping the side peice on each door panel in the same fabric. I'm not trying to over due it though I'm worried what the seats will look like as it is let alone the panels as well.

I don't know. Would that help it? 1-3 feel fine and normal, its just that random OD issue. I was going to take it to O'reillys after work tomorrow and have them scan it to see if its storing a code. It's not setting off any cel.

Lee made mention that by winter he would like me in something newer. So I have been looking just to see what is out there, looking a little harder lately.
Car is paid off, so I have no payment but have been saving for a new car (I don't have much saved up but I'm trying).
I think I would like something new, but at the same time I am really reluctant on purchasing something. I have a big fear of money, ever since I got in trouble with the G6, it has been a constant battle to try and get back on my feet. I am doing much much better, but there is always that fear. I don't know. I'm being stupid.
Maybe the Transmission fairy will stop by tonight and go abra kadabra and make everything better....

Well the horn its self is located in front passenger side below the headlight. But then if u pressed the horn anytime the lights would turn on

New pads and rotors for the 93 crown vic. Both calipers went in pretty tough and I guess that killed them both, they now don't release. The brakes smoked for a few minutes after only a 1 mile test drive.
Thank god 2 new calipers are 32 bucks total, I love working at napa lol. Can't install till sunday though.
