Re: What did you do to your Car today?
Wait. You bought a GP? What happened to van hunting? Or did I miss something lol
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
We couldn't find a van that was in good condition with low miles in our price range. This came up locally and they gave us a killer deal and couldn't pass it up. After about 2 weeks of **** we finally agreed on a price. My wife loves it. She says it makes her feel young again lol. I love the seats, they are so comfy. I love how the paint just shines.
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
Supercharged or not? Does it have the leather seats
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
n/a and yes leather seats
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
Today I realized how great my car runs when I'm not at an altitude of 6000 feet. Drove around town this morning and enjoyed the sunrise.
Although yesterday my AC condenser offed itself. Gonna make for a fun drive back home on Sunday.....
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
Washed it, taking inventory of the needed body work, paint, and starting to tear into the interior and cabin wiring. Tim
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
how does a condensor off itself... considering it's the first thing any object would hit..
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
That's a good question. I was sitting in the driveway with the AC on and heard something start hissing. Opened the hood and could feel the air coming out of the condenser. Needless to say there isn't any pressure now.

This is what happens when you are employed. Joe got a GP about a week back. We've already diaged a few issues, he's cleaned it and the wife loves it.

Similar to a pc, a condensor works great until you let the smoke out. Clearly.. the freon left you ...
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
She said it was hesitating a little yesterday, but I need to drive it to actually see. It starts up every time after cleaning the TB and runs great.
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
Hesistating might be the DBW. Many people complain about the feeling of disconnect from pedal tothrottle.

Don't you love when a shop tells you one thing and swears it's the right thing. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't my car take Dex3? Because I'm sure Dex 6 is better but I thought it was for the 04-08 models.

^yessir.
says 3 right on the dipstick.
it should anyway
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
Using dex 6 in an older trans is like using synthetic oil in an older engine. My trans was meant to have 3, but 6 is a little better (and is a part synthetic fluid). But it has different properties as well, ones that may or may not be better for my higher mileage transmission. It was designed for 3 and can last 200k + with it. Same with conventional oil, engines can last a long time with conventional oil. I may have used dex 3 in my trans, but I am running synthetic in my engine for different reasons. It can make oil leaks worse(And it has, my valve cover gaskets went from slightly seeping to nearly pouring, and my oil pan gasket never leaked until i put synthetic in it) That's because of it's different properties. It also has the possibility of making a worn engine make more lifter noise since it flows better than conventional, but I know the 3800 is a good engine and at 100k there should be plenty of life left. Unlike the 4t65e, which is why I didn't use dex 6(synthetic blend type fluid).
We need an official thread about when to and not to use synthetic engine oil, and dex 3 vs 6. It's a big topic and people are always asking those types of questions. Unfortunately not everyone can agree on the same thing, so it probably wont happen.
