What a family...I'm into having a family to what now
i ran outside in boxers in the cold to go get my laptop and my neighbor whistled at me....again :th_scratchhead:
drilled holes in the driver side tail light and examined the rust
Put on a new Smoke Tint Licesnse plate cover on the back of the Aspen, and put SF Giants plate in the front. Ill get a pic later n post the front one. Anyone know if its Illegal to have the Tinted cover in California? Two cops where behind us and did not bother us at all and ripped right passed us, they had to have seen it and i think its ok you can see it clearly in the day.
not legal
CVC 5201 (f)
(f) No covering may be used on license plates except as follows:
(1) The installation of a cover over a lawfully parked vehicle to protect it from the weather and the elements does not constitute a violation of this subdivision. Any peace officer or other regularly salaried employee of a public agency designated to enforce laws, including local ordinances, relating to the parking of vehicles may temporarily remove so much of the cover as is necessary to inspect any license plate, tab, or indicia of registration on a vehicle.
(2) The installation of a license plate security cover is not a violation of this subdivision if the device does not obstruct or impair the recognition of the license plate information, including, but not limited to, the issuing state, license plate number, and registration tabs, and the cover is limited to the area directly over the top of the registration tabs. No portion of a license plate security cover shall rest over the license plate number.
it doesn't mention front or back, just license plates. so not legal. and yes cars are technically supposed to have front and back license plates. lots of peoples don't have them.
I used to have a smoked license plate cover. From what I always understood as long as it doesn't black it out or make it hard to see from different angles their fine
Edit: also not all states require front and back license plates
Any cover at all is illegal in CA.
When I lived in Ohio they required both, NC s just back.
I'm sorry the first time I read that I thought u were referring to every state. I should reread it before commenting. California's laws are just stupid
Why cause ur team sucks, hahaha WS Champs bro.
Ya i dont know, my bro said he will keep it on until a cop says you cant have it and we will just take it off in front of him. No big deal to take it off but just wanted it cause it looks pretty good on the back. Plus i think its ok, we i can see it clearly in the day and at night we got bright LED Lights on the back that lights it up too. My glasses that i wear get tinted when Sunlight UV hits it, i let my glasses get really tinted and parked the Aspen under the shade and looked at it from far away and i can read it perfectly without trying.
waxed the car fix my hud display plasti dip my tan interior parts =]
Checked it out for inspection and it needed tie rods but surprisingly the ball joints were golden. Now the struts are a different story but they just pass visual inspection here in Pa. Is $33 expensive for cheap tie rods or am I missing something here?
