Took this of it the other day. I thought it was cool how the bowtie was outlined in snow.
do you have any idea how far id have to drive to find a road with that much nothing? lol
car dont look to dirty there. :)
The perks of living out in the middle of nowhere. That mile I was on only has 2 houses. It's a yucky gravel road.
Car's not that bad, but it's been a few weeks since last bath.
you got a lucky car, my friend turned his outside water off over a month ago. so its been some time now. ( mind you i wash it weekly when i can by hand)
i need to find a cheaper car wash around here. the one i park by's prices went up, im not paying 8 bucks for a crappy car wash.
So glad I live in So Cal. Danielle have you tuned out DoD on the impala? Are you planning to if you haven't done it?
Went busting through snow drifts that were up the the lower bit of the bumper. Stupid backroads and open fields.
Had some guy pass me while i was partly in the oncoming lane dodging 3ft tall snow drifts. He almost spun out doing so and I laughed at him for being a dumbass, mind you i was going 40 in a 55 with 3 inches of snow on the road with ice under it.
Then almost hit a pack of 8 deer this morning too, damn things are suicidal. One was even a nice 8 point.
Every time I drove it the past few days, my eyes get drawn to the ABS/Traction control lights shining brightly on my dash. I also like the dual chimes and the reminder on the DIC to check the systems. I have an unheated garage so that sh*t can wait until the temperature goes up a few degrees.
I swear, it seems like whenever animals see your car coming, they just run right in front of you lol. Wasn't it you who hit a frog? "They always have to jump" had me laughing since they would have survived had they not
Finally changed the oil pan on the impala today at work. Took me a while to do, I don't know what the flat rate time is. Lets see, from about 4:30 to 8:10. So 3 hrs and 40 mins. I have to say it wasn't a hard job, but it wasn't easy either. Easy are the dodge intrepids where you unbolt the pan, clean and reinstall lol. The motor mount bracket was the biggest pain really. Tight spots where the bolts are but I got it. Having it on a lift was so nice. Didn't need to support the motor from above, an area on the trans on the passenger side was a safe place to support it with a trans jack.
From installing a larger oil filter, to draining nearly100% of the oil, 5 qts only got it halfway up the safe area on the dipstick.
Now it's got two new dorman pans. What surprised me is the dorman pan has a different size drain bolt, so I couldn't use my magnetic bolt. Oh well, it just collects a tiny amount of metal each time. Like a metal paste. Looks like antiseize when you wipe it off.
Only picture I took with the pan off

Larger filter. Fits fine

Why in the world did you install a throttle body heat shield? They are completely worthless...Engine bay looks great though.
Then he reinstalled the engine cover and that's a heat trap lol.
SE spoiler and my roof rails came in the mail! got them repainted and ready to go on the car. I'm working on plug welding the old holes and all that on the trunk so i can repaint it and install the spoiler now.
Compounding and collinite the tenzo's while watching some Hoops! They are looking great... Time consuming though

Changed the oil/filter and radiator in my 95 Bonne today. Was hoping the rad would hold until the temps were in the 40's but she had other ideas. Thank god my kersosene heater fired up. Pulled it up from 23* to 50*. I guess the good thing is that I don't need a coolant flush anymore since I most likely leaked everything out over the last 2 weeks(went through 3 gallons of coolant). All new green coolant and a gallon of distilled water later and everything seems fine.
And as a bonus the underhood light (which has NEVER worked as long as I've owned it, even after replacing the bulb, etc..) decided to come on when I first fired it back up. Not sure what I changed since all I disconnected was the 2 fans and removed the front part of the airbox, but I'll take it
