Just joking, lolz.I have had that issue before tho.Had a 78 Cadillac that you could pull the key right out of.It was useful if you wanted to run into a store with it running but still lock the doors.
pretty much every used car ive ever owned, the damn key will pull right out. all but the dodge truck and the 2 new gmc trucks i bought.
Completed the injector o-rings finally. Also put in a new fuel filter and had the recall done on the front valve cover and wire retainer. Gonna do a custom fenderwell intake this weekend.
GTP
Thought the recall was for the rear one. Either way make sure the one that didn't get replaced isn't leaking.
Sent from my Galaxy Tab 3
No it's for the front one. But the rear isn't leaking anyway so no worries there.
It seems my power steering isn't leaking much or at all anymore. It used to drain the reservoir after two weeks, I started the lucas process a month ago and the level was at the full cold line when cold today. Cool, why spend $110+ on a rack when $7 ish of lucas stops it? And my boss told me there's no mechanic in a bottle...lol. Still power steering is the only fluid leak stopper I've ever seen work.
Well I tried yanking on the key every which way on my way home and no security light.. This cars playing mind games with me.
Get to go home at the end of this hell week. Better fill the bish up with 98 for the drive.. and it needs an oil change.. low oil came on.. oh.. and i'm gonna finally scheduled to get my aux input put in on friday. geek squad is gonna do it for free so might as well..
Drove a ton today in search of a GP for a friend.
1) Silver GP SE in Middletown, asking $1,700. Figured he said new head gasket so I said, what the hell, the kid needs wheels badly enough, we'll overlook the 3100 motor if the rest of the car is good. Well, it wasn't. Driver's side front window motor was broken, upholstery was rough, rocker panels were rusted out and in any case spray-painted with bright silver cans of spray paint, the cupholder was in pieces, and there was an odd whomping noise coming from the front suspension. Sounded like a bad axle or something similar. Also had the usual rear wheel well/strut tower rust.
Also, in a special case of redneck engineering the guy decided rather than replace the heater core he would just cut both heater hoses about two inches short of the firewall and clamp the two hoses to each other instead, bypassing the heater core altogether. Guess that was cheaper than replacing the heater core, but damned if I wasn't going to catch something like that...
The real kicker was when we returned from the test drive. We pulled up and saw these two guys checking out *my* car, which was also a silver GP. I guess that's the GP they thought they saw on Craigslist. I'd never seen two faces fall faster than when they saw us pull up in the GP SE. :th_laugh-lol3:
2) Black 2 door GTP in east Dayton. Guy wanted $1650 OBO. The only thing good about that car was the motor and the trans. The exhaust was hanging down, the upholstery was awful, the door trim had broken off... you get the idea... it didn't take us long to move on.
3) Red 99 GT in Fairborn. The only thing wrong with that car was it needed back brakes. That car's still pending, but I'm 99% sure the guy's getting that one. We'll see.
I ordered up a resonator for my catback exhaust and a ubend delete as well. Hopefully the resonator will remove my drone I have.
drove it to and from work :)
I checked my oil and it's pretty dark surprisingly... Only about 1,800 miles on that oil change. Must be from all city driving and short trips, and this time I'm using a Purolator filter, their 97% efficient model. I'll go with wix next or try their synthetic filter.
Oh, but it hasn't burned much oil. It started a hair above the full line, and is now one bubble down.
Started l67 install :)
