Parts shelf! Woo!
I finally unloaded my trunk..
Gimme da blower and headers
The blower will get cleaned up a bit and maybe painted.. Then ported out and sold. If you want it I'll sell it to you haha.
I would, then I would need heads, LIM, others stuffs.
I'm sure you can find it all fairly cheap. Shop around some and you could probably find a whole engine and just tear it apart and top swap.
What I planned on doing when I move to MI. Sure my grandpa knows a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy
They usually do haha. I'm sure you can find plenty of stuff and people to help you up in MI. It's a busy place in the 3800 world.
I originally told myself if I'm gonna top swap I'm gonna do it right and go Gen V
Definitely. I'm contemplating just doing a Gen V swap when I do my headers..
So - the vibration in my car is kind of interesting...when I'm rolling at idle, it almost feels like I have a tire out of round - just like bobbles around. Around 45-50mph, it starts to vibrate pretty righteously, and smooths out a bit around 70 or so. I'm thinking it's the hubs, but maybe I threw a wheel weight? Might be worth getting the tires balanced to see if that fixes it.
Also - I poked the rust I can see on the top of the rocker panel under the drivers door, and it still feels solid...may have to pull the body kit pieces off and sand/prime/paint to save them from getting worse. Passenger side pinch weld in the front is gone, but the rest may be okay...
rotate your tires, see if the wobble moves.
I can't really tell where it's coming from, though. I hear/feel it throughout the car. The only reason I'm thinking it might NOT be a tire is that the steering wheel isn't moving. In the past when I've had a bad tire, or a low tire, the steering wheel moved with the vibration of the car...this time, it's not doing that.
it could be a back tire. if it is once its put on the front your will feel it more. if thats it.
Had that exact thing happen to me when I still had 7" in the back on the GXP. It was still under warranty, so I took it in thinking that my rear hub was groaning. Turns out the rear tires had got choppy because they couldn't be rotated. Still had good tread and everything...

i currently have a pair of back tires that both have flat spots. they need to go this spring. when those are up front you can really feel them.
Loopy I would take your tires off and check to make sure no belts shifted and broke and put lumps in the tires. Mine did and it would cause terrible size to size wobble whole wheel would shake. Untill I got up to speed. Also might need to rebalance tires.
