thats the projector shroud.
It can look that way with the capsule painted black and having painted my shrouds silvers.

I like those Retros, really do look like Halos though......
Cause he painted his silver.
Mine make it obvious I have halos cause the shrouds are orange but the rings are white:

Damn I wish the headlights were one piece stock.
So how is the headlight seal once u take it apart and put it back together? Everbody keep telling me not to do the halos bc the seal wont never be as good. I think it would seal again, my thing is if i take my headlights apart for anything(pojectors, retros) im definately going with the Halos.....
Im pretty sure you can just use clear RTV to seal them, Ive never done it but Im sure it would work
3m window weld from advance is what you want to seal with not silicon since that tends to gas up when heated and can fog up the inside of the headlight. Butyl tape is also another word for the window weld. Makes it easier to seal and remove if you have to get into the headlights again.
And depends on what type of halos your referring to.
Uhm, this isn't just halos, this is an entire retrofit. Projectors. And that's what you should be concerned about, better light output without blinding other drivers.
As far as moisture, I used clear RTV, I didn't even do a good job of keeping a solid bead the entire way around, and my capsules are a bit botched... no moisture at all.
poorly aimed projectors blind people just as bad as HID's
then its even worse, driving fine, slgiht bounce cut off gets ya in the eye
Are you serious? That's just ignorant. ANY poorly aimed headlight blinds people. The only exception EVER is severely fogged or dimmed lights.
The difference is well aimed stock halogens lights and well aimed projectors w/ HIDs won't blind a driver, where as in most cases even a well aimed stock halogen-built housing w/ PnP HIDs in it will still blind many drivers.
