Got a 2001 gp 2 weeks ago and the drivers roof trim/molding is missing. I've read on here and google that once it's removed you'll never get it back into place to sit flush? True or false? If true has anyone ever put something like this in replacement of the stocks...

    Amazon.com

I don't want fins lol. I just want the car to not be having a missing piece. Took me 2 weeks after buying the car to realize it was missing but now that i know it is it's driving me insane.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks

Also i have another 2001 gp same color and all and it has the piece so i have access to a replacement but idk if it's possible or not.

The factory ones can go back on. Just be gentle removing them from the car and don't crazy bend them up as they're getting quite old now. Just need to clean off all the old adhesive on them then put some 3M double sided tape on it and press it back in. As long as the body is also clean of old adhesive in the channel it should stick. Just get rid of ALL the junk and wipe it with rubbing alcohol or something to ensure its clean/dry first. Did this on my brother's 01 and they held just fine.

Only thing that may matter is if the front or rear edge has a tab that goes under the windshield moulding or rear glass trim. Just look how it's installed as you remove it and it should show.
