    Quick question for you guys...

I picked up a Daytona 500 about a week ago that I was going to keep and just went through front to back, but today I bought a supercharged Jag I might want to hold onto instead.

Car is a 2000 Daytona with 147k miles
Loaded with all the options (heads up, bose, leather, heated driver, yada yada).

I just did both front wheel bearings, brakes on all 4 corners, rf outer tie rod end, tranny service, custom cold air intake, rear struts and front tires.

I know what standard model GTPs are going for, but there must be some type of added value to the Daytonas?

    Ball-park whats it worth?

    Thanks,
    Brandon

Hate to say it but with its mileage your looking at the same value of a regular gtp. These cars aren't collectable by any means and grand prix are very common.

    Maybe 3500

Fair enough, and that was actually the exact number I was thinking of listing it for LOL
At least I am not too far off. I dont expect to get that, but gives me somewhere to start.

I literally built a cold air kit for the car the second day I had it (would have been the first if my supplier could have gotten me the parts that day LOL).
The problem is, if I keep the car....I am going to start doing dumb stuff to it and break transmissions.

I agree...but these transmissions are by no means cheap to put together. Ive been playing with the 3800fwd stuff for a while, and I am familiar with the limitations. Not sure I want to sink that kinda dough into a FWD again. They are great cars at moderate power levels, but unfortunately I dont know when to stop haha.

I just picked one up for 3100.00. Thought it was pretty fair value. Not buying it as an investment piece or anything like that. I just like less common trim packages. Makes it different.

Daytona or no Daytona I would pay the same amount for it as I would any other 2000 Grand Prix w/ 147k.. Daytona adds no value to me. Maybe $2000-2500
Squirrels are my engine. I need a Ford Regal
    04 Comp G.

Where are you guys finding GTPS for 2k? Up here a normal GT with 180K will go for $2500.00

GTPS start at a minimum of 3k and can even move for 4-4500.00 with a pile of KMs.

Same here. When I bought my first Gen II w-body, I purposely went hunting for a '00 Daytona, '01 Special Edition or a '02 40th Anniversary for their appearance packages because....well....quite frankly, the regular Gen IIs look extremely boring to me without some cosmetic help, and I didn't feel like plopping down $400 for a hood, $200 for a spoiler, $200 for roof rails, etc on top of whatever I paid for the car. This way, I get the best of the cosmetic options for no additional cost because those packages are not worth any more than the regular versions. Perhaps if they had something more unique to them drive-train wise, or suspension-wise, or options-wise, etc, they'd be more of a collectible, but the car is not worth more merely because they decided to paint some interior pieces, or stick a different spoiler on there.

Not really. That depends entirely on the financial landscape of where you live. You are NOT picking up a really clean, mostly problem free GTP around here for $2k unless you find someone really desperate to unload his/her car. A decent one with those kinds of miles will run you at least $3k, if not more depending on year and what it needs.
PREVIOUS: '89 Pontiac 6000 STE AWD (2/1376), '90 Pontiac GP SE McLaren Turbo (1/2749)
'90 Pontiac Grand Prix STE McLaren Turbo (1/1000), '01 Pontiac GP GTP Special Edition (1/1341)
CURRENT: '00 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP (ugh...boring regular one)

They are valued differently then regular grand prixs dont screw yourself by listening to idiots who think they are not there is a reason why they are collectibles and only 2000 were made but yeah when you start getting into high mileage there value falls way down to being an every day driver value

My 2000 Daytona edition is lot number 076
At 131,000 miles clean of rust garage kept mine was appraised and valued at 8500

There's one being sold for 21,000 dollars
So Yes kept clean and original and low miles your talking about way more money then average Grand Prixs
