I need some help with this code that I can't seem to fix yet.
Ran my scanner and got the code P0300.
    Random Engine Misfire.
I went through the basics and siwtch the spark plugs and wires. Engine started fine and decided to drive home. But on the way I felt loss of enigne power and turned off on me once I pulled up the drive way.
Next day the car cranks but doesn't turn on. Been like that for a bit untill it started up but I noticed a rough idle. And still getting the same code.
I decided to change the ignition coils but still the same problem. But now....the enigne cranks and doesn't turn on once again.
I also decided to clean the injectors. But no change.
Anyone had this issue? Any help is greatly appreciated.

This sounds like an ICM issue to me. It's the module that the coils bolt onto. I'd test for spark while cranking and go from there. I've had a cracked coil cause the ICM to die on my 00 GT in the past.

If you go for the ICM get an OEM one from the JY and don't go aftermarket as they aren't as reliable.

I did get a used one to see if something would change. Both the coils and the ICM.
But no change....the problem now is that the car doesn't turn on anymore...only cranks. And I can hear like bubbling noises coming from the reservoir for the radiator. I have to loosen the bolt on top of the thermostat housing to release the air.... I hope I'm making sense.
Could a fuel pump be the problem??? I know I did need one because the needle doesn't mark the right fuel gauge. And I can hear the pump turn on when I turn the key.

What year/model is this GP (is it a GT, GTP?)

If you hear the pump run then it's priming the system. An inaccurate fuel gauge won't affect the pump unless the car is out of fuel and the gauge says it isn't.

Now you need to check for spark. Pull a plug with the wire attached and lay it on the manifold and have someone crank it. You should see it spark. Or get an inline tester and do it that way.

Ok, thank you. Another thing that came to mind is the crankshaft position sensor. They usually won't throw a code when they go bad.

    Have you verified spark yet?

Yeah it's just cranking now and it just doesn't want to start up anymore....I know it has fuel. I'm just wondering what is going on now.

Well I guess this post is closed for now. Just found out I need the whole motor.
Don't know why I decided to look at the oil level. Found water in there. I'm guessing it overheated on me on my way home. But the gauge didn't mark overheating issues. Had a local mechanic look at it and noticed the same thing. Said it was about the same $$$.
